FEE STRUCTURE

General Counsel Retainer

Small business owners need an attorney to guide them through various legal issues that they face daily. Therefore, we offer our clients general counsel services for a reasonable monthly flat fee, eliminating your concern that the cost of hiring an attorney for smaller transactions or day-to-day issues will eat into your profits or exceed your budget. For a reasonable, monthly flat fee, you can have immediate access to a trusted business and legal advisor who can advise your business on routine employment and human resources matters, general contract review, day-to-day legal questions, and other simple transactions. Monthly fees are based upon the size of your business and daily needs, and are always subject to negotiation.

For certain types of projects, a flat fee is the optimal billing structure. Flat fees are usually offered only if your case is relatively simple or routine. • Introductory Consultation (75 minutes or less) – $500.00

  • Contract Review with legal advice (up to five pages) - $1,350.00 - $1,500.00

  • Basic Estate Package (Last Will & Testament, Advanced Directive, & Power of Attorney)

    • $2,000.00 for an individual

Notarization

In Maryland, a notary public has the following general powers:

  • To act as a witness in the notary's official capacity; To receive the acknowledgment of certain written instruments;

  • To administer oaths according to law in certain civil matters;

  • To make protests and declarations in certain commercial transactions;

  • To complete a certificate under the notary's official seal that the notary has performed any of these duties; and

  • To certify a copy of a record in his or her fair register of official acts.

With remote notarization, a signer personally appears before the Notary at the time of the notarization using audio-visual technology over the internet instead of being physically present in the same room. The cost is $4.00 for an original notarial act.
